Description: The proposed project will test the hypothesis that it is possible to design and implement a global Knowledge Management system facilitating Advanced Distributed Learning to serve geographically and culturally diverse audiences in remote and underserved regions of the world in a cost-effective manner using ``Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS)`` technology. The Center for International Rehabilitation (CIR) will assess the impact of a variety of factors on international distance learning including: the availability of internet connectivity; the cultural, educational and technological foundations of the students; the need for particular areas of knowledge; and the availability of resources both locally and nationally to support the educational initiatives over a sustained period of time
