Combat Casualty Care for Battlefield Wounds

1 recipient will receive $2,684,000. This is a first-time earmark.
Year Enacted: 2005
Description: We propose to conjugate antimicrobial and pain relief agents to the chitosan biopolymer backbone in order to increase the functionality of field-applied dressings and bandages. It is proposed to use Resodyn Corporation`s novel ResonatAcoustics mixing technology as the basis for a highly productive cell culture vaccine production system. This fundamentally new bioreactor concept opens the way to develop new, highly productive cell culture methods for vaccine production that can increase the speed and reduce the cost of vaccine production.
