Description: The Ryder Trauma Center, University of Miami already has in place a pocket-PC system that their attending surgeons have used for the past three years. With this system, the surgeons can access patient information, write and/or dictate notes in the patient's charts, process billing, and use several other point-of-care functions. The proposal research effort is to determine if physicians can use the Battlefield Medical Information System-Tactical/Clinical Administration Research Education (BMIS-T/CARE) system to accurately document and describe a patient's injury status.
