Description: Deep Digger: The Deep Digger Weapon System (DDWS) will utilize an automatic gun, firing explosive projectiles, to drill down through the ground to reach deeply buried targets and deliver an explosive warhead. DDWS will provide a unique capability to defeat targets at greater depths than are currently possible. The FY05 plus-up funding will be used to fund the Phase II effort. This phase will design, fabricate and test a proof of principle prototype for DDWS.
