Description: Active Coating Technology: The ACT program will result in the development of coatings that can actively adapt in real time to the present situation. These coatings will have the ability to sense the environmental conditions, change its attributes to mitigate the affects of these conditions and include signature management capabilities. Modifications will be accomplished on the molecular and atomic level as well as the macroscopic level.
