Description: Establishment of computational and heuristic tools required in the design of munitions and ground vehicles subjected to highly transient loads. These weapons platforms and systems often exhibit failures associated with dynamic loads that cause electronic subsystems to fail prematurely. The tools developed in this program will enable Army weapons designers to improve the reliability of electronics aboard smart munitions and ground vehicles.
