Description: Develop manufacturing technology for semiconductor lasers. NLight proposed a novel surface emitting structure, using 45 degree turning mirrors, for making 2-d diode pump arrays for High power solid-state lasers (HPSSLs). The change in geometry introduced will have a major impact on future HPSSL systems by reducing cost and improving reliability.
