Description: Develop and field a telescope system to detect asteroids that threaten Earth. AFRL will partner with the industry sponsor to demonstrate the military utility of the prototype system by testing the system's capability to detect and track small, dim objects in orbit. The system's predicted capability is expected to yield performance not available in fielded Air Force systems. Demonstrated performance will determine if the Air Force should acquire the prototype system or derived technology.
