Description: This project improved the manufacturability (and therefore reduced production costs) of silicon carbide ' carbon composite (SiC-C) exhaust flaps and seals on the GE F414 engine for the F/A 18 E/F Super Hornet fighter jet. The projected results of this effort are savings of more than $30M over the remaining life of the F414 production program.
