Acceleration of Clinical Trial for Hemostatic Therapeutic

1 recipient will receive $1,446,000. This is a first-time earmark.
Year Enacted: 2005
Description: The streamer was developed by Rescue Technologies Corporation, a Hawaii based company recently honored by the Defense Supply Center, Richmond, VA as one of the U.S. Government's best suppliers. The Naval Submarine Medical Research Laboratory, Groton, CT will test and evaluate an infrared (IR) SEE/RESCUE distress streamer to provide U.S. Navy submarine crew members with 'passive and continuous' emergency signaling for both day and night searches (night vision goggle compatible). Personal-size IR Streamers will be evaluated for fit and operation based on Navy submarine evacuation procedures. Larger raft-size streamers will also be evaluated for incorporation into the standard submarine life raft and the associated evacuation procedures.
