Description: The program looking to develop a new synthetic fiber arresting gear cable to replace current steel cable with a lighter weight material having a higher strength to weight ratio. A cable with a higher strength to weight characteristic will improve peak to mean which will help the arresting engine realize performance improvements in both the high and low energy levels.
