Description: Funding under the LTAS program provides follow-on funding (FY 2005) associated with the FY 2004 Congressional 'Add' for transformational application of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Towed Array sensor technologies and Open Architecture (OA) processing techniques. The proposed FY 2005 add would provide the necessary funding to: Perform test-bed validation and verification of the NextGen Fatline Towed Array - Validate in-situ tactical littoral operations and performance, Perform at-sea Operational Testing of various prototype NextGen Fatline Towed Arrays, Verify the inter-operability and operational application of coherently processing hull mounted acoustic sensors and Towed Arrays
