Description: Environmental Control Systems Tradestudy effort included a preliminary analysis of technical solutions, defining overall flow down requirements, identification of required changes to the detailed system specification, and defining system requirements that were used as the basis for development of a technical SOW. After funding an analysis of alternatives it was determined modification to the existing V-22 Air Cycle Machine was the best solution to meet the requirement. There was extensive work with the primary supplier, Honeywell, to ensure the crew and cabin temperature requirements could be supported by modification to the existing V-22 Air Cycle Machine which was selected for minor redesign in support of the V-22 Block C upgrade."
