Description: The Composite Moisture Separator Program was funded to design, develop, manufacture and test composite radar absorbing moisture separators targeted for CVN 78. Northrop Grumman Newport News teamed with Goodrich Corporation for this effort. Design analysis was completed and a composite moisture separator was designed, manufactured and tested. Portions of the testing was completed at a government test facility. Testing showed that the composite moisture separator met all requirements and would provide improved Radar Cross Section benefits over the current metal separator with a 41% weight savings.
