Equipment Life Extension Program

1 recipient will receive $1,458,000. This is a first-time earmark.
Year Enacted: 2005
Description: Each year the Department of Defense spends vast sums of dollars trying to buy spare parts from the Original Equipment Manufactures who are not able or willing to produce spare parts for out-of-production weapons systems. A formal program to establish a laboratory that will reengineer and produce critical spare parts is needed.
