Description: Developed a composite twisted rudder and started initial qualification tests. This rudder has a non-uniform cord shape optimized to minimize the angle of attack of the water flow, thereby minimizing cavitation. The composite rudder will not corrode, is lighter and easier to fabricate, and may have lower lifecycle cost.
