Description: Completed improvements to the Look-Ahead Detection Sensors (LADS) and an Engineering Development Model (EDM) of the shock mitigating seat. Fabricated, tested and delivered to SOCOM. (An EDM differs from an advanced development model (ADM) in that it is more robust and can be considered the prototype of a model that can be manufactured in large quantities.) The EDM operates as a semi-active system---not a totally active system.
