Description: Initiated development of low cost, sonic resistant composite repairs for metal airframe structures. This new concept for the repair of the Navy's aging fleet of both fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft offers the promise to extend the airframe life at a significantly lower cost and with greater reliability and safety than methods currently in use.
