Description: Initiated research to explore, develop and optimize alloys based on Al-Zn-Mg-Sc-Zr. Efforts include alloy fabrication, microstructural and mechanical characterization, stress corrosion cracking studies, and development of a cost-benefit analysis, demonstrating the feasibility of implementing the alloy and providing the foundation for subsequent certification.
