Description: The owner of a 20-acre parcel expressed a willingness to sell this property of National significance, which includes General Sweeney's Museum of Civil War History, a garage, and a house. This is one of the best private collections in the country, with 15,000-18,000 museum objects and numerous archives related to the Battle of Wilson's Creek and the Civil War in the Trans-Mississippi West. Funding was provided to acquire this resource and enhance the battlefield protection and interpretive experience.
