Description: Funding was provided to support the activities of the Brown Foundation to enhance visitor understanding and appreciation of the landmark U.S. Supreme Court decision and its legacy. These activities included: the production of an educational video targeted at grades K-3; publication and distribution of the Brown Quarterly, a newsletter designed to help classroom teachers with instruction in civil rights and multi-cultural studies; a summer institute for educators and policy makers to provide knowledge and appreciation for the historic and on-going role of education as a foundation for democracy.
