Citation Excerpt: Appropriations Senate Report 108-342 Center of Excellence for General Aviation Research [CGAR].--The Committee notes that the FAA has supported the research efforts of the Center of Excellence for General Aviation Research [CGAR] which is a consortium of the aviation inudstry and five universities--Embry Riddle Aeronautical University; the University of North Dakota; Wichita State University; University of Alaska; and, Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. The Committee supports the continued funding of the research of CGAR and directs the FAA provide no less than $1,500,000 to CGAR for its general aviation research efforts.
