Description: This is a continuation of the grants awarded in FY 2000 (#619), 2001 (#497), 2002 (#254), and 2003 (#980) for renovation of 190,000 sq. ft. of the former St. Joseph's Hospital into a community center. Renovation will include the parking garage, replacement of a chiller unit, roof replacement, fire alarm system replacement, and miscellaneous projects. The center will lease space to several non-profit health, educational, and social service groups. The $245,891 grant requested for FY 2003 would be used for additional renovations and repair and upgrades of existing equipment, and the mechanical, heating and cooling systems. They include renovation of new tenant space; rooftop air handling units; roof replacement; ER air handling unit coil replacement; steam trap replacement; and building system upgrades and repairs.
