Research and Training for Callen-Lorde Community Health Center

1 recipient will receive $89,000. This is a first-time earmark.
Year Enacted: 2005
Code: 5002
Description: The purpose of the project is to provide a linkage to the target youth population to receive appropriate and sensitively delivered services, including medical, mental health, psychiatric and ancillary services. In the areas of NYC targeted by HOTT, lives a fluid, transient, highly mobile population of youth who are needy, underserved and at high risk of HIV/STD infection. Many of these disenfranchised young people engage in the street economy to survive and face a plethora of psychosocial issues or severe mental illness.
