Description: The Nonviolence Streetworkers Program was implemented in the summer of 2003 to meet the needs of young people on the streets in Providence. Utilizing an asset-based harm reduction model, the Nonviolence Streetworkers meet people where they are and help them assess their strengths and needs. Nonviolence Streetworkers provide advocacy and support while their clients make incremental change to more peaceful, less violent lifestyles.
