Unique Visitor Logons Exceed 130 Million at OPM’s USAJOBS Website
Washington, DC - The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) today announced that USAJOBS has logged in more than 130 million unique visitors since its re-launch on August 4, 2003, and more than 1.4 billion hits. Additionally, job seekers have created nearly 1.5 million new resumes to apply for federal jobs.
Acting Director Dan G. Blair said: “The results speak for themselves. The USAJOBS website has proven to be a user-friendly resource for today’s federal job seeker. We have paid attention to customer feedback, which has gained for us a high degree of customer satisfaction over the past year. Our customer loyalty is also strong, with 87 percent of users indicating they are likely to recommend the site to others, and 90 percent of users saying they are likely to return to USAJOBS.”
Over the past few months, OPM has implemented a number of enhancements on USAJOBS, including a streamlined resume builder which reduces the number of steps required to create a resume and uses smart technology to present only the questions each user needs to see. In addition, the site includes a link to the recently established HireVetsFirst website (www.HireVetsFirst.gov) and a link to “Where the Jobs Are,” a report which contains hiring projections for the Federal workforce during the next several years. “Where the Jobs Are” has been downloaded more than 35,000 times since OPM added it to its website.
The most recent American Customer Satisfaction Index E-Government website score for the USAJOBS website (www.usajobs.gov) increased from 76 to 77. The index ranks more than 70 Federal government websites with average score of 72.6. OPM’s USAJOBS continues to outperform the competition.
Last month, the American Council of Technology/Industry Advisory Council recognized USAJOBS as a 2005 Intergovernmental Solutions Award winner. Blair commented “USAJOBS was one of only four Federal government initiatives selected for recognition. OPM’s E-Training initiative was also recognized, so we are very proud of these accomplishments.” p>
The USAJOBS website is the one-stop source for federal jobs and employment information about the federal government. The redesigned website features a faster job-search engine, sorting capacities, and greater access for disabled users. Other features include the ability to store up to five online resumes, a personal career management home, an option to make resumes searchable by agency recruiters, and an opportunity to create and save application letters.
