Univision.com Using FirstGov en español Content
Washington D.C. - FirstGov en español, the official portal of the U.S. Federal Government, today announced that Univision.com, the most visited Spanish-language website in the United States will become the first online organization to provide a "government" channel using the espanol.gov content. The portal will enable the agency to extend its reach within the Hispanic community through a dedicated section on Univision.com, titled El Gobierno te ayuda (The Government helps you).
With Univision linking to FirstGov en espanol, the Hispanic community will be able to access official government information and services in Spanish around key topics such as jobs, education, immigration, consumer protection and health.
"Univision.com’s decision to add this feature is helping the Federal Government to better serve its Spanish speaking constituents by providing them with centralized access to valuable information and services on FirstGov en espaņol, the official portal of the US Federal Government," said Lurita Doan, Administrator of the U.S. General Services Administration.
"Univision.com will enable Hispanics to use FirstGov en español to access the official government information and services, and will let this community know that the federal government works for them," said Lee Vann, Principal of Captura Group.
FirstGov en español aggregates information in Spanish from federal, state and local government agencies and organizes it in a topical directory accessible to the public at http://www.espanol.gov.
