Personnel Announcement

President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate one individual and designate one individual to serve in his Administration.

The President intends to nominate James R. Clapper, Jr. of Virginia, to be Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence. Mr. Clapper currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of Government Services at DFI International. Prior to this, he served as Director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. Earlier in his career, he served as Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency. Mr. Clapper received his bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland and his master's degree from St. Mary's University.

The President intends to designate Howard Radzely of Maryland, to be Acting Deputy Secretary of Labor, vice Steven J. Law.
