Personnel Announcement

President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate one and appoint two individuals to serve in his Administration.

The President intends to nominate David James Gribbin, IV, of Virginia, to be General Counsel of the Department of Transportation. Mr. Gribbin currently serves as Division Director of Macquarie Holdings, Inc. Prior to this, he served as Chief Counsel of the Federal Highway Administration. Earlier in his career, he served as Director of Public Sector Business Development at Koch Industries, Inc. Mr. Gribbin received his bachelor's degree and law degree from Georgetown University.

The President intends to appoint two individuals to be Members of the Federal Service Impasses Panel, for additional five year terms expiring January 10, 2012:

Andrea Fisher Newman, of Michigan

Joseph Carter Whitaker, of Louisiana
