Personnel Announcement

President Bush today announced his intention to appoint four individuals and has recess appointed three individuals to serve in his Administration:

The President intends to appoint John V. Cogbill III, of Virginia, to be a Member of the National Capital Planning Commission for a six year term beginning January 1, 2007, and upon appointment designate Chairman.

The President intends to appoint Stephen J. Cassidy, of New York, to be a Member of the Medal of Valor Review Board (Firefighting) for a four year term beginning January 1, 2007.

The President intends to appoint the following individuals to be Members of the Advisory Board on Radiation and Worker Health:

M. Josephine Beach, of Washington

Phillip M. Schofield, of New Mexico

The President has recess appointed Warren Bell, of California, to be a Member of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.

The President has recess appointed Wayne Cartwright Beyer, of New Hampshire, to be a Member of the Federal Labor Relations Authority.

The President has recess appointed Mark McKinnon, of Texas, to be a Member of the Broadcasting Board of Governors.
