Personnel Announcement

President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate two people to serve in his Administration.

The President intends to nominate Mark Everett Keenum, of Mississippi, to be Under Secretary of Agriculture for Farm and Foreign Agricultural Services and to be a Member of the Board of Directors of the Commodity Credit Corporation. Dr. Keenum currently serves as Chief of Staff to United States Senator Thad Cochran. Prior to this, he served as Assistant Professor and Economist of the Department of Agricultural Economics at Mississippi State University. Earlier in his career, he served as a Research Associate with the Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station. Dr. Keenum received his bachelor's degree, master's degree, and PhD from Mississippi State University.

The President intends to nominate Ellen C. Williams, of Kentucky, to be a Governor of the Board of Governors of the United States Postal Service, for an additional nine year term.
