Statement on H.R. 1160, S. 384

On Friday, March 25, 2005, the President signed into law:

H.R. 1160, the "Welfare Reform Extension Act of 2005," which extends certain welfare and related programs that expire on March 31, 2005;

S. 384, which extends the authority for the existence of the Nazi War Crimes and Japanese Imperial Government Records Interagency Working Group by two years, through March 27, 2007.
