ICRC Helps Connect Families in Wake of Tsunami Disaster

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is reuniting families separated from loved ones in the tsunami disaster in South Asia. A new Family Links Web page provides a place for those who lost contact with their families to let them know their whereabouts. Families can also search the list for relatives in the region. The information on the Web site may also be listed in public places and broadcast on the radio to widen distribution to those without Internet access. This is one of several Family Links Web pages maintained by the Red Cross to reunite families separated by war and natural disasters.
