World AIDS Day Observed Worldwide

The White House and U.S. embassies around the world will dim their lights today for 15 minutes at 7 pm to commemorate World AIDS Day. Almost 38 million people around the world are living with HIV and AIDS. HIV claims over 8,000 lives a day and approximately 5 people a minute die of AIDS. The United States plays a key role in fighting the spread of this disease. President Bush
