Tunisian Ministers Participate in U.S. Exchange Programs
Fact of the Day

Key ministers of the newly elected Tunisian government are former participants in United States government-sponsored exchanges. Tunisian Foreign Minister Abdelbaki Hermassi is a former voluntary visitor as well as an alumnus of the Senior Fulbright program. The new Minister of Higher Education, the Minister of Telecommunications, and President Ben Ali's Senior Advisor have also fostered a deeper understanding and appreciation of the United States by participating in exchanges. More than 1,500 current and former cabinet-level ministers worldwide have benefited from U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs.
