US Forensics Donation Helps Bulgaria Fight Crime
Fact of the Day

The U.S. Embassy in Bulgaria recently donated forensics equipment valued at $100,000 to the National Forensics Institute of Bulgaria. The equipment will increase the institute's ability to combat narcotics activity and identify forged passports and currency. Support from the U.S. government over the years to the National Forensics Institute has provided police in Bulgaria with sophisticated technology to better identify and convict criminals. This latest donation will further strengthen the cooperation between Bulgaria and the United States as we fight crime in the region.
