U.S. Embassies Celebrate Ramadan
Fact of the Day

American embassies around the world are hosting Iftaars in honor of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. American ambassadors and senior U.S. diplomats hosted more than 60 Iftaar events, the traditional breaking of the fast, including special dinners. Embassies in both Muslim-majority countries, such as Egypt and Sudan, and Muslim-minority countries, such as Switzerland and England, have hosted the events to promote understanding and dialogue between various religions.
