Statement by the Press Secretary
Visit by Prime Minister Peter Medgyessy of Hungary

President Bush will welcome Prime Minister Peter Medgyessy of Hungary to the White House on June 22, 2004. Hungary is a close friend and ally of the United States, and a valued contributor to the international effort to bring peace and democracy to Iraq. The President and Prime Minister Medgyessy will discuss a number of key issues, including combating terrorism, U.S.-Hungarian economic relations, and the U.S.-European Union Summit in Ireland and the NATO Summit in Turkey later this month.
