Making the Streets of Ramadi Safer
Iraq Fact of the Day

U.S. Marines in Ramadi recently met with a local sheik to discuss a proposal for adding streetlights and fixing potholes in certain sections of the city. The sheik agreed that the measures would make it harder for insurgents to plant improvised explosive devices, thus making the area safer for Iraqi citizens and coalition forces. This is another way Iraqis and Americans are working together to improve security in Iraq.
