Bereaved Father Leads Troops to a Leader of the Insurgency
Iraq Fact of the Day

The vast majority of Iraqis continue to oppose those undermining the security of the new Iraq. When U.S. Marines visited a neighborhood outside Fallujah recently, they discovered a family holding a wake for their teenage son killed by Iraqi thugs. The father pointed out the location of the suspected murderer, and the Marines detained the suspect. After checking his identity against other information, the Marines realized the criminal was wanted as a ringleader of the insurgency. Tips continue to flow to the coalition from the many citizens who support a free, secure, and peaceful Iraq.
