Statement by the Press Secretary
Visit of Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende of the Netherlands
President Bush will meet with Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende at the White House on March 16, 2004. The Netherlands is a close ally and a strong supporter of close transatlantic relations. The Netherlands has been an important contributor in the fight against terrorism, and in the effort to strengthen security and democracy in Afghanistan and Iraq.
