President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate two individuals to serve in his administration:
The President intends to nominate Craig A. Kelly, of California, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Republic of Chile. A career member of the Senior Foreign Service, Mr. Kelly currently serves as Executive Assistant to the Secretary of State. Prior to this position, he served in the same position for the Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs. Mr. Kelly previously served as Chief of Political-Military Affairs at the United States Embassy in Paris, France. He earned his bachelor's degree and his Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles.
The President intends to nominate William Hardiman, of Michigan, to be a Member of the Board of Directors of the National Institute of Building Sciences, for the remainder of a three-year term expiring September 7, 2006.
