Presidential Message Eid al-Adha

I send greetings to all Muslims celebrating Eid al-Adha.

As part of the Hajj, or pilgrimage season, Eid al-Adha commemorates Abraham's obedience to God and his willingness to sacrifice. During this three-day festival, Muslims around the world remember God's greatness and perform acts of charity and goodwill.

As families and friends gather to share in the traditions of Eid al-Adha, I encourage people of faith to help those in need and give thanks for the blessings God has granted.

Laura joins me in sending our best wishes for a joyous celebration.
