Personnel Announcement

President George W. Bush today announced his intention to appoint one individual to serve in his administration:

The President intends to appoint Andrew B. Maner, of Michigan, to be the Chief Financial Officer of the Department of Homeland Security, vice Bruce Marshall Carnes. Mr. Maner currently serves as Chief of Staff and Director of the Transition Management Office of U.S. Customs and Border Protection for the Department of Homeland Security. Earlier, he served as Special Advisor to the United Nations Envoy to Somalia. Mr. Maner earned his bachelor's degree from Purdue University and his master's degree from Northwestern University.
