Statement by the Press Secretary

October 29, 2003

On Wednesday, October 29, 2003, the President signed into law:

H.R. 1990, which provides for the production and presentation of a congressional gold medal to the family of Jackie Robinson and authorizes the production and sale to the public of bronze duplicates of the medal.

H.R. 3229, which transfers from the Joint Committee on Printing to the Government Printing Office authority over individuals responsible for preparing indices of the Congressional Record.

S. 1591, which redesignates the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 48 South Broadway, Nyack, New York, as the "Edward O'Grady, Waverly Brown, Peter Paige Post Office Building".
