Statement on H.R. 255
Statement by the Press Secretary
On Tuesday, July 29, 2003, the President signed into law:
H.R. 255, which authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to grant an easement across Federal lands for an access road to the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center in Nebraska City, Nebraska;
H.R. 733, the "McLoughlin House Addition to Fort Vancouver National Historic Site Act", which authorizes the Department of the Interior to acquire the McLoughlin House in Oregon City, Oregon, to be included within the boundaries and administered as part of the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site;
H.R. 1577, which designates the visitor center in Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument in Arizona as the "Kris Eggle Visitor Center"; and
S. 1399, which redesignates the facility of the United States Postal located at 101 South Vine Street in Glenwood, Iowa, as the William J. Scherle Post Office Building.
