Personnel Announcement
President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate one individual to serve in his administration:
The President intends to nominate Kristin J. Forbes of Massachusetts, to be a Member of the Council of Economic Advisers. Ms. Forbes currently serves as Associate Professor of Management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology's (M.I.T.) Sloan School of Management. She previously served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Policy Development and Review at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Earlier in her career, Ms. Forbes served as a research fellow with the National Council of Applied Economic Research in New Delhi, India. Prior to this, she served as a research assistant with Fleet Financial Institutions, and as a project assistant at the World Bank, in the Policy Research Department. Ms. Forbes earned her bachelor's degree from Williams College and her Ph.D. from M.I.T.
