Personnel Announcement

President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate one individual and appoint two individuals to serve in his administration:

The President intends to nominate Robert A. Wherry, Jr. of Colorado, to be a Judge of the United States Tax Court. Mr. Wherry is currently the Vice President and Secretary of Lentz, Evans & King in Denver, Colorado. Prior to this, he served in the Office of the Attorney General of Colorado as an Inheritance Tax Auditor. He is a graduate of the University of Colorado and went on to earn his law degree from the University of Colorado Law School.

The President intends to appoint Richard Parsons of New York, to be a Member of the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation. Mr. Parsons is the Chief Executive Officer of AOL/Time Warner Inc. He attended the University of Hawaii, and received his law degree from Albany Law School.

The President intends to appoint Martha Williamson of California, to be a Member of the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation. Ms. Williamson, a veteran of the entertainment industry, is currently the Executive Producer of the CBS television series Touched by an Angel. She is a graduate of Williams College.
