Nominations
President Bush to Nominate Two Individuals to Serve as Members of His Administration

President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate two individuals to serve as members of his administration.

The President intends to nominate James M. Stephens to be a Member of the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission for the remainder of a six-year term expiring April 27, 2005. From 1995 to 2001, Stephens was the Deputy Executive Director of the Office of Compliance for the U.S. House of Representatives. He was a member of the National Labor Relations Board from 1985 to 1995, and served as Chairman from 1988 to 1994. Stephens is a graduate of Wittenberg University and Case Western University School of Law.

The President intends to nominate Glenn Suddaby to be United States Attorney for the Northern District of New York. Suddaby has served with the Onondaga County District Attorney's Office since 1992, first as Chief Assistant District Attorney and then as First Chief Assistant District Attorney. From 1989 to 1992, he was an Associate with Menter, Rudin and Trivelpiece in Syracuse, and from 1986 to 1989, he was an Assistant District Attorney in the Onondaga County District Attorney's Office. Suddaby is a graduate of the State University of New York and Syracuse University Law School.
