President Highlights Progress Made in Education Reform
President George W. Bush addresses education leaders during his remarks on Education Implementation in the East Room at the White House Wednesday, Sept. 4. In his first year in office, the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 was passed with an overwhelming majority in both houses of Congress. Today state and local schools were recognized for their efforts in implementing the act.
